One of Honor’s top priorities is the safety and health of our Care Professionals and the clients they serve. With flu season upon us, we are encouraging our Care Professionals to follow CDC guidelines and get the flu vaccine. The flu vaccination can reduce flu illnesses, doctors’ visits and is the best way to help prevent serious flu complications. Not only does it protect you, but it helps protect the people around you - including your clients.
While the flu vaccine is not a requirement, it’s a benefit we feel strongly about and are offering to you as a valued Honor Care Professional. If you don’t have medical insurance and would like to get the flu shot, we’ve outlined two different options for you below. If you do have insurance, please jump to option three.
You can use this voucher provided by Honor at any Walgreens location for a free flu shot. As long as you have the voucher with you, you will not need to pay anything out of pocket. Simply present this voucher and a photo ID to the Walgreens pharmacy. Please note: this voucher is only valid for Honor Care Pros who received this message directly from Honor.

If you have already received your flu vaccine or don’t have access to a Walgreens Pharmacy, you can receive the flu shot at any pharmacy and pay out of pocket if you do not have medical insurance. (If you are insured, most likely, you will not have to pay anything out of pocket. Please see below.)
Honor will then reimburse any cost you incur related to your flu shot, up to $40 for those under 65, and up to $80 for those over 65, which is the market price for flu shots. To receive a reimbursement, please take a picture of your receipt and text it to Honor by March 15, 2023. Submissions received after March 15, 2023, are not eligible for reimbursement.
If you have medical insurance, you can likely receive a flu shot at no cost to you at either your primary care physician’s office or at your local pharmacy. If you do not have insurance, please choose one of the options listed above.
We also strongly encourage you to stay up to date on your COVID-19 vaccines, as well. As a reminder, Care Pros are expected to wear a new, disposable mask for the entirety of their visit, even if you and your client are fully vaccinated. Please contact Honor if masks are not available in the client’s home.
